Supplying care homes and managing multimorbid patients is a growing challenge for pharmacies. 1. Order import from the medication plan
MicuraDose imports each patient's individual medication plan as an order directly from your connected pharmacy management system.
2. Fully automated deblistering from original packs
MicuraDose dispenses medications directly from the manufacturer's original blister packs. Tablets stay in their primary packaging until they are processed.
3. Filling the 7x5 multi-dose blister
The filling module distributes the medications into a weekly blister pack covering seven days with up to five administration times per day. Each dose pocket can be detached individually.
4. Sealing and printing
The print and seal module closes the weekly blister pack and prints the patient's medication plan on the lid card. The print includes images of every medication in the pack, so care personnel can identify each medication at a glance.
5. Verification and documentation
RFID tracking and camera-based vision inspection monitor every blister card throughout the entire process. Each filled weekly blister pack is photographed, and the image is stored for documentation.

MicuraDose dispenses medications from the blister only at the moment of processing. This offers three practical benefits: medications remain protected by their primary packaging until filling, the risk of cross-contamination is reduced, and the formation of medication dust is prevented.

MicuraDose is a closed system. In the area where unpacked tablets are handled, between deblistering and sealing, the system maintains an internal cleanroom environment. A separate external cleanroom is not required.

RFID tracks blister cards and carriers, and vision inspection checks each fill optically. Continuous monitoring of every blister card and photo documentation ensure controlled, traceable production. Pharmacists can use the stored images for the final check before release.

The 7x5 blister card holds a patient's entire weekly medication on a single card. The printed lid card clearly assigns each blister to the right patient. The enclosed medication plan shows images of every medication in the pack. Care personnel can see at a glance which administration time is due and whether the pocket contains the correct medication. The detachable cups make it easy to hand out individual doses separately, for example for day care, doctor's appointments or outings.
